Instructions to wives

I realize that there will be wives who will read this book and feel refreshed and challenged to be a better wife and a better mother.

I also realize there will be wives who will read it and close it with a sigh and say, “I wish it could work for me. If you only knew the circumstances of what I live with. It is so hopeless.” I want you to know I have been there.

I want to bare my heart to you, yes, even make myself and my husband vulnerable by sharing some of my experiences with you. I do not wish in any way to undermine my husband. It is embarrassing to both of us to bring up the past, but I know that sometimes we all feel that we are the only ones, and it is our hope that by sharing with you, you will be encouraged and strengthened and given hope to keep pressing the battles.
