Do you feel like a heavy burden has been placed on your shoulders? There is a lot of responsibility placed on a wife and mother, and a woman of God.
Please do not take the attitude—"I can never meas ure up anyway so why even try." By trying you will come closer than if you didn't try.
If we strive for perfection we will be better for having tried.
We don't have to be the winner, we have to endure.
...The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong… Ecclesiastes 9:11
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13
Keep running! Keep praying! Keep striving! Keep trying! Keep smiling!
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
Have you ever wondered why some people have all the good life and seemingly go through life without a hitch? Life is a breeze for them—no problems—no heartaches. And you or someone you love go through trial after trial and heartache after heartache.
There is a ray of hope!
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scour-geth every son whom he receiveth. Hebrews 12:6
God really loves us and wants to make something really special out of us.
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. Job 23:10
One day I was questioning God for all He was put ting me through—poor little me. He brought me to this scripture and gave me a song about it, "Come Forth Like Gold". There were times when the song helped me and then there were times when I would cry, "God, I don't care if I come forth like gold, I just want to come forth. Just help me to survive."
Rest assured God wants to make us into something special. He wants us to help somebody else. God has a purpose. If we will allow Him, He will accomplish His purpose in us.
We have to stop trying to drive God where we want Him to go and allow Him (God) to get behind the steering wheel and let Him take us where He wants us to go.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1
Let's get rid of the sin in our lives and every other weight that drags us down and keeps us from doing what God wants us to do.
[13] Brethren, I count not myself to have appre hended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
[14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
Let's stop living in the past. Forgive and forget your past mistakes and your husband's and anyone else's that has kept you from victory.
Reach forward to what God has for you in the future—with your children, your personal walk with God, being a help to others along the way, and in your marriage, it will be worth it!
Keep pressing on!
Keep on keeping on!
Heaven will be worth the journey—all the rough spots, the bumps, the curves, the wrecks, the hard times, all of it—
IT WILL BE WORTH IT ALL
WHEN WE SEE CHRIST!
